If you don’t have a Phase 4, it is one of the top 2 bows Ive shot this year. The Hoyt VTM 31 and Phase 4 29 are still the top of the class in my opinion. I really like the SS34 and Omnia, but the Mathews and Hoyt were just so effortless to hold on target and shoot repeatable shoots for me.

Draw cycle is butter smooth (to me it’s better than the Mathews not gonna lie), it’s a hair longer ATA and a hair shorter brace. I like the fact the Hoyt has a rotating mod for draw length and only a 3 piece string system.
I’d go with the Hoyt, from my testing, the Hoyt VTM 31 was faster and quieter than all of the bows I tested. Those bows were the VTM 31, Execute 30, Ominia, Era, Carbon One, and SS 34. The Hoyt Torrex will kill anything the VTM will, it’s a <10 fps difference, that’s not gonna matter on game. It will probably be as accurate as a VTM as well. The main upside to the VTM is the better cam and tuning system. The VTM uses shims and will therefore hold its tune longer.I think if you haven’t had a Hoyt and you can afford the VTM it’s definitely worth it. However if you bought a Ventum Pro used I don’t think you’d miss a ton if you wanted to save a little.
